The South-Eastern Family Project (SEFP) was established in 2004 to provide a continuum of services to empower women and their families to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle free of alcohol, drugs, and other addictions. Services are provided in a nicotine and drug-free environment. SEFP services are available to any woman in who meet entrance guidelines in the Commonwealth of Virginia. SEFP is one of many programs offered by the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board. Visit www.hnncsb.org for more information on other programs.
SEFP staff consist of licensed health care professionals, nurses, therapists, peer recovery staff (peer recovery persons are those who have received treatment and now are certified to provide services), and residential support staff.
The South-Eastern Family Project (SEFP) is licensed both as a 3.5 & 3.1 comprehensive residential program for pregnant and postpartum women diagnosed with a substance use disorder. Gender specific substance use treatment services are provided in a healthy, stable and secure residential environment. The program is designed to serve residents based on individual need in a person centered treatment environment which encourages stabilization. A holistic approach to prevention, intervention, support and treatment is provided to foster the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being for the women and families.
